CNN buries inflation news with nearly three times more Jan. 6 coverage: Study

CNN is burying information about America's record inflation with reports on developments surrounding the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and House Select Committee on the Jan. 6 Attack, according to a study.

Inflation has risen roughly 7% since December 2020, and goods from nearly every industry have seen sharp price increases, the Department of Labor said Wednesday, but CNN appears to favor coverage of the Capitol attack over America's economic woes.

The economy has been overshadowed by a factor of almost 3 to 1 by coverage of the House Jan. 6 committee, according to a Thursday study published by media watchdog NewsBusters.

The committee's request for House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy's testimony was the top priority for CNN on Wednesday, according to the study.
