Louisiana Governor Brings Back Forced Masking

Louisiana on Monday brought back forced masking for all indoor locations, including schools and colleges, with this time’s excuse for further draconian abuse on the American people being the threat of the ‘delta variant.’

The temporary indoor statewide mask mandate will stay in place until at least September 1, but may be extended if the bureaucratic establishment considers it necessary.

Democrat Governor John Bel Edwards’ press release largely blamed the surge on the citizens of the state, saying “driven largely by Louisiana’s insufficient vaccination rate and the spread of the highly transmissible Delta variant, COVID-19 cases in the state have grown exponentially.”

Gov. Bel Edwards announced the mandate, which goes into effect on Wednesday, less than three months after he lifted a similar previous mandate.
